about John
For decades I have helped others improve their performance in the workplace as a leader, manager, coach, and consultant. I have also helped organizations become more effective and productive. In Decoding the Workplace I try to help readers better understand their workplaces and the behavior of people around them.
I wrote this book while I was a professor at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, the city on the Ohio River behind me in the photo on the left. Today I am an emeritus professor, no longer actively teaching in the classroom. My life now is writing, speaking, consulting, and spending time with my wonderful wife. As academics, we study and learn about the workplace. Much of this does not get translated into practical tips and insights. I have tried to do that in Decoding the Workplace, in my tweets, and in my blogs. For more about me, here are links to my professional history and to a more personal history. |
